An insane cover of the most insane song from The Velvet Underground album. Again recorded just post-album for an online VU tribute album New Year’s Resolution. The backing track was recorded live to 4-track tape, with all of The Curiously Strong Peppermints contributing vocals—including live drummer Emily and multi-instrumentalist David Schmitz, who were only on the band for a brief time. The entire second half of the recording is very interesting, as we set up four different room mics in four different rooms of The Arbor House, all going to each track of the mastertape. Then all six members of the band wandered from room to room, playing various instruments. This resulted in audible “movement” through the tracks, specifically with Emily’s tambourine, as the stereo spectrum represented the floor layout of The Arbor House! This is one of the band’s favorite ‘rare’ tracks.
