lyrics

ACT I: TWO PIROUETTING DEBRIS

Let me in! Let me in!" said the Synthetic Grin
"The world awaits as you please."
"Who am I to comply?" said the Inverted Why
"I know nothing is as it seems."

As he opened the door with no elaborate retort
Shielded his eyes, welcomed to the new life

"Go away from this place with your acerbic face!"
But the Why couldn't stand to complain
He didn't know in his soul he had created a hole
Craving a refreshing refrain

The Why, he stood still on the hourglass hill
This is what he said:

"Time is a strain on my third-dimensional plane
I cannot stop until I've hopped that transcendental train
Life has a way of becoming yesterday
The pressure builds but we are still a supple mold of clay"

"I can see that I'm free," said the Why so discrete
"But it feels as a masquerade."
To the Why, with a sigh, then the Grin bid goodbye
"See how deception is played?"

As the Grin left the door the Why had hid his remorse
And this is what he said:

"Time is a strain on my third-dimensional plane
I cannot stop until I've hopped that transcendental train
Life has a way of becoming yesterday
The pressure builds but we are still a supple mold of clay"
